Cartif is the first technology centre to obtain the UNE150301 regulation certification on ecodesign, which makes it stand out not only for its activity as a company, but for their activity integrated in the context of a society.

This certification ensures the use of a work methodology which reduces de environmental impact during the product life cycle, taking into account on their design the various features that could mean higher pollution.

The team of Cartif that has earned this honor has developed software to make the use of this methodology easier, making simpler the recognition processes to identify the parts that have higher ecological impact during the product life cycle.

This tool allows finding out on which step of the development process is necessary to reduce the effect on the environment, through feeding the data sheet to the program. Later, ecodesigners calculate from the weight and the material how much pollution is going to be produced, and this process can be repeated on each step of the product life cycle, including the transportation and withdrawal of the product.
